PRAISE REPORT - Haley Jean Dienhelt

Linda and I are baby sitting little Haley today.  She is laying on the floor by me trying to roll over all the while talking up a storm to me.  Well, I guess that is to be expected, she is a girl!  Doug took the feeding tube out a week ago Saturday.  Since that time Haley has been taking her bottle with only minimal problems.  She is continuing to gain weight.  The doctors still do not have the results of all of the blood tests.  I guess that we are just ahead of the medical profession.

 

Anyway I just wanted to let you know that Haley is doing fine at the moment. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns.

UPDATE:  March 10, 2008

Haley has gained weight and now weighs in at 11 lbs and 3 oz.  She should be at about 15 lbs for her age.  She is keeping her food down about 90 to 95% of the time.  The family’s next goal is to get her off of the feeding tube and on to the bottle.  We kept her over night on Saturday and she took 3 out of 4 feedings on the bottle.  Well I need to clarify that. She will almost always start on the bottle but will only take about an ounce.  So we consider her taking 2 to 3 ozs as her taking the bottle.  It gets complicated trying to keep up with how much she is taking and which way.  The most important thing is that it is staying down!

Thank you so much for your prayers.  This is evidence that they work.  Now if the doctors can just catch up!  Please keep little Haley in your prayers.

Haley Jean Diehnelt is almost 3 months old, and is having difficulty eating and keeping food down. She has been near death, has had many tests to determine the cause, but doctors say that all tests show everything is normal. She is home, and being fed through a feeding tube.

Haley Jean is the granddaughter of a good friend that I worked with for many years. This christian family needs prayer for Haley Jean's total healing, and for his family to have patience, strength and wisdom to care for her.
