Pray For Donna Waltz

I have an urgent prayer request on behalf of Marvin, for Donna. As you know, Donna is in California taking classes for her doctorate. She got very sick last week with fever and bronchial congestion and we've all been praying for her. Marvin called just now and said that today she was having other severe symptoms, pain in her abdomen and swelling in her abdomen. He advised her to find a way to go to the hospital. Someone came from the Seminary and took her there this afternoon around noon.

They did many tests to rule out pneumonia, gallbladder, liver or kidney problems. The diagnosis is she has torn her abdominal muscles because of severe coughing. They gave her cough suppressants and pain medication. Hopefully she will sleep tonight, as she hasn't slept for many nights. Tomorrow she will have to make the decision whether to come home or try to continue in her classwork there. She has been looking forward to this week because her class is with Jack Hayford, and Tues. evening the students are invited to his house for dinner.

Marvin has asked us to agree in prayer for Donna's congestion to be miraculously cleared up without more coughing, and that her coughing will be totally surpressed. Also pray that her abdominal muscles will be healed miraculously and quickly so she won't have to suffer with this or have to have surgery for it to heal.

PRAYER UPDATE - CHERYL GOLEY

This Prayer Update is from Dan Goley: February 20, 2009

Cheryl continue to do well as she undergoes chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the brain tumor that was removed in December. All of her treatments will be finished by Thursday of next week. Please continue to pray:

1. For Cheryl's complete healing and recovery.
2. For the remaining treatments next week.
3. For her first MRI which is scheduled for March 21, 2009, and a clean report.
4. For her fianncial needs in receiving continued sick leave pay from her job with the County.

Dan wishes to thank all who have been lifting both Cheryl and himself in prayer. He knows God is working and is thankful for everyone!

Pray For Friend of Natalie Pulliam

My mom (Susan Martinez) has pancreatic cancer/cholangiocarcinoma (yes, what Patrick Swayze has). There are at least 6 tumors in her liver, there are 1-2 in her pancreas, cancer in her lymph nodes by her upper aorta, gallbladder and the lining that covers her organs. Chemo would not be enough so they are just sending her for clinical trials as soon as possible. We are waiting to hear which hospitals have trials for pancreatic cancer and which one can accept her. Thank you SO VERY MUCH for you continues support and prayer.

PLEASE continue to pray, we REALLY REALLY need it.

Two Prayer Requests...

1. UPDATE 2/4/09: The surgery was successful. Please pray now for a full and speedy recovery. Thank you for your prayers!

A young child named Ariana is being operated on to repair her skull. She was born with a flat spot on the right forehead that is also affecting her right eye and the eye soccet. They are going in to do reconstructive surgery which will be long and tedious. It starts about 10 am CA time, today. Please pray for a successful surgery and her healing.

2. Dear friends, Noemi and her husband Chris, are expecting their first child. Around Christmas a sonogram was given and they were told the baby appeared to have no brain. They both then went through a very tough time. After waiting to see a specialist, they were told that everything looked fine and the brain was indeed there and growing. Then they were told that the feamer bone looked short which could be an indication that the child would be born with down syndrome. Also, there is a very good chance that the child could also be normal. Then they were told it is a little boy. Please pray for health for the baby, and clarity and peace for the parents.

Please Pray For Michael

Update 2/4/09: Michael just started taking a few minutes ago. The nurse was working his arms and he said “Stop you are hurting me” isn’t God wonderful. Thanks for all the prayers.

On May 5, 2008, my friend Michael fell while working at the Windstar Casino in Oklahoma. It was a construction accident. His company was doing the reconstruction and building the new casino.

He has come a long way and is in a rehab center now. He had a serious brain injury and it is amazing he is still alive. He can move his legs, arms and head. He understands most of what you say, he answers you by blinking his eyes, but he has not been able to speak. Yesterday when his stepmother sang, O How I Love Jesus, he started humming along with her. He was very proud of himself and was smiling. All the nurses and other staff came into to see him. It was wonderful. His wife, Rana works with me, so I got to share it first hand. Thank you Lord! Please continue to pray for Michael's complete healing!
